Sheriffs Office Boosts 9-1-1 Capabilities
Florida PSAP Installs New PlantCML™ Solution
Temecula, CA – The
Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office located in
Florida’s Tampa Bay area, recently upgraded
its 9-1-1 call-taking and dispatch services
by acquiring a new communications solution
from PlantCML, North America’s leader in
mission-critical communications and
response.
The new system, VESTA® M-1 CS, is a robust
call-handling system designed for high
volume communications centers. It operates
over a Verizon voice and data network and
will allow the Pinellas County Sheriff’s
Office to efficiently process calls, better
identify caller locations and quickly
dispatch emergency personnel to the nearly
one million residents living in the county.
VESTA M-1 CS integrates seamlessly with
PlantCML’s advanced mapping products as well
as radio dispatch solutions.
Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office is the
fourth Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP)
in the county to upgrade its system over the
last two years.
